"I'm gonna pray for you ..."
06.19.08 (12:11 pm)   [edit]
Whenever someone offers to pray for me, I make note. This is someone who has *some* sort of experience with prayer. I've in the past asked specifically for the prayers of these folks - for jobs, health related issues, you know things that are way too big for the usual heave-ho of human endeavor!

Most recently I've been blessed by the prayers of possibly hundreds of folks. This was when I endured a hemorrhagic stroke which would surely have killed me with the slightest deviation from *what did happen.*

On seeing these folks (now it's 1.5 years later,) they're all grateful for the results of their prayerful efforts, and laugh earnestly at those of us who just don't get it. I confess, I'm not sure even today that *I* get it; but I sure know who to turn to, when I'm in need of a prayer.

That's great. I have to confess, when accepting the earnest offer of prayer for others, I pretty much set aside any theological exclusivity. If you will pray for me, I will take it! And I do think the power of prayer crosses a lot of religious boundaries.

Oh I agree, wholeheartedly!

How are you PastorDave? Haven't heard from you in quite a long while ... so good to get word from you.

If you take the power of prayer and join it together with positive thinking there is nothing that a person can't overcome regardless of the outcome.

Hear, here! You are so right about that - and yet, it's still all *so* mysterious, you think?

Hi Sebastian!

Yep, I'm back, and thoroughly enjoying life - with or without the relaxation, it will always be different.

Thanks for those prayers - I'll add you to my list!

How are *you*? - 8^)

The power of prayer is awesome combined with the faith that God answers prayers, he has answered plenty of mine, so happy that you are back with us.

Thanks LadyG! Awesome indeed; indeed quite more - mysterious. I'm in awe of the very nature of prayer, and lack the wherewithal to give it just discussion. [Sigh!]

"i just tendered my resignation about a month ago... so 26 july is my last day."

So you're in wait for the next step? What do you want - don't want to go off into prayer for you, you know what they say about always getting what you want! My prayers will justly be for *the next, best thing.*

How's that?

Well Sebastian good luck with it! I hope your business will thrive and grow ... and am most of all glad that you've gotten out of the work that's made you so miserable.
